The Importance of Small Steps
If you are feeling frustrated about how long things are taking to happen for you this year, I just wanted to remind you this week that great things usually grow (not just appear), especially if they are meant to last. The journey is just as important as the destination. Try to be present in whatever phase you are in right now and learn the lessons on the way, so that you have the strength to handle the challenges that come with great success. Even as a parent, I have learned the importance and kindness of training children in small steps. Maybe we should be just as kind to ourselves when we take little steps that lead to great destinations. Have a good weekend!

Use What You Have
It is so easy to focus on what we want or don't have, but we all have something, when we really think about it. Whether it is talent, skill, connections, energy, faith, time, family or money - we all have something. Instead of focusing so much on what we don't have, why don't we choose happiness over stress by being grateful for what we do have, doing what we can with that, and trusting that things will get better when we are faithful with the little we have. I like the phrase, 'Use it, or lose it', which reminds me to make the most of my opportunities and resources, because someone somewhere is wishing for the things we take for granted.

Abundant life
We are now in the second half of 2025, and it might be looking very different from what you planned, or you might be excited to be smashing your goals according to plan. Whichever camp you sit in, I just wanted to encourage us this weekend to take a step back and see if we are truly experiencing a full and abundant life. If not, what's missing and what might we be able to do about it. For many, there will be nothing missing, but a need to find contentment and joy in what and who we already have. Have a great weekend!
