  • EXTENDED CUT: Waiting for a Callback w/ Michael Rosenbaum
Because this was recorded during the SAG-AFTRA strike, we edited out chunks of this episode where Michael talked about Smallville and various other shows he's been on. Enjoy this original cut. Original Air Date: Sep 7th 2023Candice is joined by actor, comedian, and just an all-arounder of a human being, Michael Rosenbaum, to discuss how he has worked to become the best version of himself over the decades - both while in and at a distance from the industry. From his breakout role on a comic book superhero series, to finally directing and producing his own passion projects (like his podcast!) was a transformative experience in itself. They talk about the power of therapy, knowing who your real friends are, and yes, they briefly mention the fact that Candice never called back all those years ago after a few dates. • Advocating for Humanity w/ Allie Phillips
Candice is joined by advocate and Democratic Candidate for Tennessee's District 75, Allie Phillips, to give vital context to her current campaign and share her lived experience that brought her to politics. Allie always dreamt of being a mother and she was blessed with her first daughter, Adalie. She was equally ecstatic when she became pregnant with her second daughter, Miley. But things took a sudden turn for the worst when at 19-weeks pregnant, Allie was told she had an nonviable fetus; Miley’s organs unfortunately didn’t develop correctly and the longer Allie stayed pregnant, the more at risk they both were. However, due to Tennessee's anti-abortion laws, Allie was not allowed medical care or guidance by her home state doctors to terminate her pregnancy. With no time to even properly grieve, Allie had to seek help and support through her online community which brought her to a clinic in New York where she learned Miley had already passed in her womb. After being put into the lowest of lows, Allie vows to be the same pillar of support and understanding that she had from those both near and far around her. About A Superbloom Podcast

A Superbloom is a rare botanical phenomenon that is associated with an unusually wet, and rainy season. After the rainstorms, seeds of wildflowers that have lain dormant in desert soil begin to germinate and blossom all at once into a beautiful and magnificent superbloom. This is what our host, Candice King, wants. Life has felt like one rainstorm after another and now, after laying dormant for a bit, I’m ready for a superbloom. On A Superbloom Podcast host, Candice King is asking others who’ve experienced their own roadblocks, grief, or tough times to share in how their experiences went on to feed their souls. To talk about the events and passions in their life that allowed them to grow and superbloom into their next chapter. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
