Marty E from Anchorage, Alaska came to the SA fellowship in 2008 at the age of 37. Having fought and lost since 12 years old, he never knew there was an answer to his problem until a friend told him there was a recovery program for lust. He initially came in, attended meetings, didn’t get a sponsor, didn’t work the steps, and to his surprise he didn’t get sober. When he finally got a sponsor, worked the steps and followed his suggestions, Marty had a spiritual awakening. It is THE result of working the steps.
He loves talking with newcomers, giving away his literature and working with his sponsees. God has shown him how to build the fellowship he craved.
Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path. So whether your “thing” is alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, food, … whatever… you are home here. We gather from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and locations to learn from and support one another. Our speakers come from various fellowships and experiences, demonstrating the universal principles of recovery. Reco12 is not allied or affiliated with any specific 12 Step fellowship.
