Sunfish found in Cape Town harbour
Do you know what a sunfish is? Did you know that our South African summer is indeed our sunfish season? Yesterday a sunfish was spotted in the V&A harbour! The Two Oceans Aquarium Marine Wildlife Management assisted with the sighting. They also happen to be running a ‘Sunfish research project’ (at the moment), which is aimed at gathering info, measuring, taking photo IDs and getting genetic samples of these types of fish. Some new features include ‘Heritage Hour’ every Wednesday between 10 and 11 am, The Masterclass on Fridays at 11 am as well as a segment exploring music trivia. Another new addition is ‘The Unexplained’ segment on Mondays at 10:35. Fan favourite ‘The Naked Scientist’ will continue on Fridays at 9:30 am.
