7 POWERFUL LESSONS FROM GENOCIDE AND OPPRESSION

    2026/11/03 | 24 mins.
How should Muslims respond to injustice, oppression, genocide, and the suffering of innocent people around the world?

Shaykh Suleiman Hani reflects on seven important lessons from genocide and ethnic cleansing, drawing upon the Holy Quran, Islamic history, and the timeless teachings of Islam.

Through the story of Ashab al Ukhdud (the People of the Ditch), Prophet Musa (AS) and Pharaoh, we are reminded that oppression often begins with hatred, dehumanization, propaganda, and the normalization of injustice.

From Palestine and Sudan to Bosnia and the Rohingya, these reflections invite us to recognize the suffering of others, question injustice, and remember our responsibility as believers.

    The seven powerful lessons explore:

    1. How hatred, propaganda, and dehumanization can lead to terrible acts of violence.

    2. Why remaining silent in the face of injustice can have serious consequences.

    3. Why our ultimate hope must remain in Allah rather than worldly power.

    4. How oppressors attempt to justify their actions and portray themselves as righteous.

    5. Why every act of injustice remains within Allah's knowledge and accountability.

    6. The importance of ending cycles of cruelty, hatred, and oppression.

    7. How Iman, Sabr, and Tawakkul help believers remain steadfast during hardship.

    The Quran reminds us:

"And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do." (Surah Ibrahim 14:42)

These lessons are not only about historical tragedies or conflicts happening across the world. They also challenge us to examine our own character, our treatment of others, and our responsibility to stand for justice in everyday life.

True faith calls us toward compassion, humility, courage, and the protection of human dignity.

May Allah protect the innocent, grant relief to those suffering from oppression, bring justice to those who have been wronged, and guide us to stand for truth with wisdom and sincerity.

    Ameen.

Want Allah to Help You? Start Doing This

    2026/11/01 | 20 mins.
Are you going through a difficult time and asking Allah for help, relief, and guidance?

In this beautiful Islamic reminder, Sheikh Samih Jad explains the importance of helping others in Islam and how sincere acts of kindness can bring us closer to Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί taught that Allah continues to help His servant as long as the servant helps his brother (Sahih Muslim 2699).

Through the inspiring story of Prophet Musa (AS), we learn a valuable lesson about compassion, humility, sincere intentions, and trusting Allah during hardship.

After helping two women water their flock, Prophet Musa turned to Allah with a beautiful dua:

"Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir."

"My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You would send down to me." (Surah Al Qasas 28:24)

Helping others does not always require money. Sometimes your time, patience, kindness, encouragement, or a sincere dua can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Whether you are supporting your family, helping someone in difficulty, showing mercy to those in need, or easing another person's burden, every sincere act of goodness matters.

Do good for the sake of Allah, without expecting recognition or anything in return.

Remember that even when you are struggling, you may still have the ability to bring comfort to someone else.

May Allah ease our hardships, guide us toward sincere good deeds, grant us compassionate hearts, and make us among those who help others for His sake.

    Ameen.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH IN ISLAM? WHERE DOES THE SOUL GO?

    2026/11/01 | 27 mins.
Death is a journey every soul will experience, but what happens between our final breath and the Day of Resurrection?

In this powerful Islamic reminder, Dr. Haifaa Younis reflects on Barzakh, the mysterious stage between death and resurrection, and reminds us of the importance of preparing for the Hereafter.

The Quran reminds us that every soul shall taste death (Surah Al-Anbiya 21:35). Yet our time in this world is temporary, and our ultimate return is to Allah.

Understanding Barzakh encourages us to reflect on our deeds, strengthen our Iman, seek forgiveness, and live each day with greater awareness of the Akhirah.

What truly matters is not how much we accumulate in this world, but how we prepare for our meeting with Allah.

Don't wait until tomorrow to turn back to Allah. Make sincere Tawbah, increase your good deeds, and remember that every moment is an opportunity to seek His mercy.

May Allah grant us a good ending, forgive our sins, fill our graves with light, and grant us Jannatul Firdaus.

    Ameen.
