On this episode, we had back on special guest Ben Felton! Ben just announced on his YouTube that he is no longer racing Rotterdam Marathon this Spring. On this episode, he explained the though process behind that. Essentially, Ben is crushing half-marathon training right now and wants to keep riding that wave!

We also got a great recap of Ben's Spain trip, where he ran two 65 minute half-marathons and made huge strides in training while working out with his coach Victor and some other high-level runners!

On this episode, Scotty and Chris gave Danny the night off as he is heading to Flagstaff to get some miles in with Rory and Jacob!

We chatted about one of your LIS team runners talking about running the Pyongyang Marathon and how great of content that would be, if anyone has run that who listens please let us know lol.

Scotty is starting the Louisville Triple Crown race series this weekend and his hoping to break his 5k PR of ~15:45 on Saturday! We previewed that race series and also chatted about if only caring about the marathon is a toxic runner trait or not.

Finally, the investigation into the USATF Half Champs drama came to an end with a resolution nobody saw coming so we covered that as well. Enjoy!

On this episode, the boys had the legend, Ethan Shuley, back on the podcast after his epic 2:07 run in Osaka last weekend. Ethan first came on the podcast a couple months ago after he ran 2:11 at the Kobe Marathon. At this point, he was still relatively unknown to American distance running fans, but after a 1:01 half-marathon in the build to Osaka, he knew something special was possible!

Adopting Japanese racing-style, Ethan went out hard at Osaka, around 2:05 high, 2:06 low pace and was able to hang on for an epic 2:07 marathon. This time puts him 7th on the all-time US list after names like Conner Mantz and Galen Rupp. The crazy part is - he did this while being unsponsored.

Now - Ethan has agents and sponsors contacting him and he will be signing a professional contract likely this week. We chatted about what the future holds for him, if he will be racing in the U.S. more now, what potential brands are on the table, if there's a chance he runs Boston, and more!
