• Recap: RHOSLC S6E11 Ladies Who Lunch, The Sequel

  Mary hosts another fabulous lunch at Valter's in Salt Lake City, complete with red carpet and fighting fish. On the agenda is the ongoing quest to resolve the mid-air conflict between Meredith and Britani, despite Britani not being invited. Lisa and Meredith continue to alienate themselves from the group by presenting different recollections of what happened on the plane but they quickly realize the group won't be swayed and insists on an apology to Britani. Then the episode goes from traumatic situation to traumatic situation, Britani and her daughter Olivia in therapy, Bronwyn discussing the loneliness she feels knowing her daughter and mother will soon be moving out, and Heather showing the world a very disturbing mattress. By the end, we finally get to see Meredith summoning Britani to delver a quasi-apology and let's hope it puts the issue to bed, on a clean mattress.   Saying farewell to a torturous season of Real Housewives of Orange County that brought us stale beef, weaponized tears, and more lies than confusing denim outfits (and there were a lot of confusing denim outfits). The delusion, denial, and conspiracy theories as deflection from accountability all continue to go strong through the third reunion installment. Lowlights include Heather stating that she heard about Gretchen's problematic stances but "chose to ignore it", Tamra sticking with her belief that Jen tried to copy her life, Shannon backing everything and anything anti-Tamra, Katie's husband sassing the women to a "get your orange, Matt" level, and Gretchen's unlimited pile of excuses for why she followed and liked myriad accounts posting bigoted views...including an amusing new allegation that even comes with a booklet. Bonus: a plastic bag PSA, and using OC foolishness to explain the "strawman" strategy, commonly used by people who know they can't win an argument.   The episode kicks off with a high body count hair party to boost Britani's mood, complete with a build-a-stuffed animal activity and yet another declaration from the women that Meredith and Lisa need to apologize or they won't be included. Despite being on a 30-day break and feeling down, Britani answers a call from Jay-rod and meets him in a park so he can complain about his perceived woes, question her alleged behavior on said break, and continue to be unclear about their "relationship". It's a cautionary tale for the ages. Throughout, we see Mary excited to re-open her church after years of renovations, there's a supportive scene between her and her son, and all the women attend her first emotional service back.
