1. Know your why- having a goal makes budgeting way easier. So why are you budgeting? To save up? To monitor? To reduce wasting your money on things you don’t need but look pretty and useful?
2. now that you know your why work towards it. now you need to analyse your spending habits. I know it might hurt at first. But no for real. How much do you think you spend on groceries? And be realistic if you’re not then you’re only hurting yourself. For me 150-200 is good
3. Now go through your calendar. Any birthdays coming up? If yes then add that. you have to adjust every month. We all have a bunch of friends where their birthdays happen all in the same week and no one’s wallet likes that.
4. Okay so this might be something for some of u. what is your financial goal? Be specific? For me for example its to end in June early July with around atleast 1000 euros extra. So decide how much you want to save and create a plan for it
5. There’s different kinds of budgeting most popular one is zero based budget. But honestly don’t stress yourself u’ll figure it out.
What can make your budget fail?
1. Unrealistic expectations
2. Know exact income flow
3. Not adjusting enough
Now plan to action:how will you do it?
1. Hold yourself accountable—I always move my money into my savings to avoid overspending
2. Keep your broke mentality never harms
3. Review it every month
