Lessons Learned
On this episode of Two Moms and Some Labels, we are breaking down a special podcast episode by social media influencers Megan Ashley and Sarah Lovestyles about being a parent of a child with special needs. Dissecting the day to day lessons we are given or have been given from a power that we are not in control of, and how we are able to continue to grow as individuals, and mothers of children with disabilities.
Two Moms and Some Labels is a platform created for families caring for a child with a disability to come together in a shared space to commune, network, and gain ideas on how to persevere through challenging times. Our name was formed from all the labels that we as parents of disabled children have to go through or have been given after various assessments and testing done on our children. As parents and caregivers of our disabled children, we have to juggle so many things. These include mom, wife, cook, therapist, caregiver, daughter, and so many more. But we are pushing through those labels!
