PPV's and Numbered UFC events these days are pretty much guaranteed to be headlined by UFC champions these days, but this isn't always the case. And it's been everything from big stars to people that make you scratch your head over the years and wonder how they could possibly be the headliner.

MMA has some absolutely insane moments, but for some reason it feels like returns tend to encapsulate that craziness more so than any other topic about the sport. McGregor's return happened this year, Ronda Rousey - who guessed both would happen within months of each other let alone at all? These are the most memorable MMA/UFC returns ever.

If this sport is producing CTE and fighters lives are legitimately being ruined like in the case of Anthony Smith, what is the point of watching? And it's not even about the fighter. The people around him, his family are the ones suffering the cost.

Champions can come out of every corner it seems in this sport. Sometimes that's a really great thing, but ufortunately man times, it's anything but. Jones took his title at the perfect time as an example while ducking literally every great heavyweight champion. These are the champions who orchestrated their title reigns.

Many times you are told a set of things to do and the hope is, especially when coming from an authority figure, that things will work out in the end. Well in these cases, doing what you think is right couldn't be any more wrong. Commissions, referees, coaches and even yourself are to blame. These are the times where whether in the UFC or MMA in general, doing the right thing, was actually the wrong thing.
