    S14 Ep17: Double Whammy

    2026/03/30 | 1h 26 mins.
The Cycling Podcast returns to recap the latest round of cobbled Classics, with the E3 Saxo Classic and In Flanders Fields neatly teeing up the Ronde van Vlaanderen this weekend.
Daniel Friebe and Lionel Birnie examine both races in detail, looking at how Alpecin-Premier Tech made it another superb weekend for them. First up was Mathieu van der Poel’s latest cobbled clinic in E3…not that he didn’t leave us guessing until the final kilometre. A similarly nailbiting pursuit match the following day saw MvdP reunited with old foe Wout Van Aert, though it was Jasper Philipsen who finally prevailed.
We ask what this all means for the big one at the weekend, with a little help from faithful Flandrian correspondent Hugo Coorevits. We also cover the big talking points from the Volta a Catalunya, which was dominated by Jonas Vingegaard.

    S14 Ep16: Bread of Heaven

    2026/03/25 | 1h 9 mins.
A few days on from Tadej Pogačar’s extraordinary victory in Milano-Sanremo, we return to add an extra layer of analysis to our Arrivée episode on Saturday.
Tudor Pro Cycling’s Larry Warbasse joins Daniel Friebe to discuss what most impressed him about Pogačar’s latest masterclass and other talking points from La Classicissima. We also reflect on how a performance that was widely celebrated has already prompted much more lukewarm reactions – and where we can find a middle ground.
There’s the usual weekly trip to Coorevits Corner ahead of a huge weekend in Belgium, plus impressions on first skirmishes in the Volta a Catalunya.

    S14 Ep14: Arrivée: Milano-Sanremo (Women)

    2026/03/21 | 36 mins.
Join Rose Manley and Rebecca Charlton as they kick off the spring series of Arrivée episodes with the second edition of the revived Milano-Sanremo.
Whether you’re a Milano Sanremo stan or a Milano Sanremo can’t-stand-it, you’ll want to listen to this Arrivée episode covering the women’s race.
With a couple of big names not making it to the startline, the race to the Via Roma looked to be turned on its head. Crashes, breakaways and fierce battles on the Cipressa and Poggio all came into play in a dramatic 2026 edition, only the second ever official Milan-Sanremo for the women.
Can Lorena Wiebes take the pressure and defend her title? Will Kasia Niewiadoma the story of her season with a win? Might Lotte Kopecky find an opportunity for herself?
Find out exactly what certainly did and what certainly could have happened as Rose and Rebecca take you through the race.

S14 Ep13: Winner Winner Trofeo Binda

    2026/03/20 | 1h 1 mins.
Dai dai dai! No that’s not a threat, that’s our call to come and listen to our latest episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin where we are taking a look at the Italian Classics block. Lizzy Banks makes her much hoped-for return to the podcast to join Rose Manley, Rebecca Charlton and Denny Gray as we discuss a drama packed Strade Bianche and an equally surprising Trofeo Binda.
In our mini feature we look at the history and significance of Trofeo Binda, a race that is often overlooked in favour of races with a men’s equivalent but has long been a firm favourite among the peloton. We hear from twice winner and this year’s super domestique Elisa Longo Borghini, former British champ and winner of the 2018 junior race Pfeiffer Georgi and bici.PRO chief editor Enzo Vicennati. We dig deeper into the unique elements of this race, one of the oldest on the women’s calendar, and explore its connection to 1920s cycling icon Alfredo Binda.
And lastly we look ahead – or perhaps don’t – to Milan-Sanremo and the raft of cobbled classics that follows.
Also on the agenda: an Elisa Longo Borghini panino, Denny speaks Mandarin (but does he really?) and Rebecca’s goes all quasi psychologist on us with a theory that encompasses Milan-Sanremo fandom and university dissertation punctuality.
