UFC Unfiltered with Jim Norton and Matt Serra

Jim Norton and Matt Serra get ready for UFC Fight Night: Buckley vs. Malott in Edmonton with returning guest Tanner Boser, who joins the show ahead of his heavyweight matchup against Jhonata Diniz.

Boser takes Jim and Matt through his unconventional journey into MMA, beginning with childhood soccer before discovering karate. With Saturday marking his first fight in Edmonton since his regional circuit days, Tanner reflects on the resilience he’s developed through tough losses and shares entertaining stories about working as a bouncer at an Edmonton strip club. Along the way, he reveals the surprising hobby he shares with fellow fighters Robert Whittaker and Josh Barnett.

After catching up with Boser, Jim and Matt recap the final week of Dana White's Contender Series Season 10 and react to the latest fighters earning UFC contracts. The guys close the show with picks and predictions for Saturday's UFC Edmonton card, headlined by Joaquin Buckley vs. Mike Malott, before taking an early peek at next weekend’s UFC 333 card in Abu Dhabi.

Jim Norton and Matt Serra recap UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan, including Brendan Allen’s late submission win over Christian Leroy Duncan, Loopy Godinez’s close decision victory and a few more takeaways from Saturday’s card.

Then, Andre Fili returns to UFC Unfiltered after snapping his two-fight skid with a second-round head kick knockout of Kai Kamaka III. Before breaking down the win, Fili’s comic book aficionado side comes out as he and Matt dive into superhero storytelling, old collections and what makes a comic adaptation actually work.

After Fili reflects on the knockout and bouncing back from a tough stretch, Niko Price joins the show following his first-round stoppage win over Leon Shahbazyan. “The Hybrid” explains how his retirement fight came together, why he came out pressuring from the opening bell, and what it meant to have his wife and daughter in the cage with him afterward.

Price also looks back on his wild UFC run, discusses the possibility of competing again in grappling or wrestling, and reveals the unbelievable childhood story of where he was pronounced dead in an ambulance.

Jim Norton and Matt Serra get ready for UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan with two returning guests set to compete on Saturday’s main card.

First, 8th-ranked strawweight Loopy Godinez joins the show ahead of her matchup with Ketlen Souza. Godinez reflects on what she learned from her loss to Tatiana Suarez, why she’s not overhauling her approach after one setback, and how she stays during fight week by sticking to her normal routine — training, walking her dog, spending time with family and staying loose backstage.

After some Dana White’s Contender Series talk, Jim and Matt welcome 4th-ranked middleweight Brendan Allen back to the show before his main event against Christian Leroy Duncan. Allen talks about preparing for another five-round fight, the confidence that comes with main-event experience, and how maturity, communication and his friendship with Belal Muhammad have helped him manage the mental side of fighting.

Allen also gets into his fight-week diet, homemade pizza obsession, building out his family property and what he expects from Duncan before Jim and Matt close the show with picks for Saturday’s card.

With Jim Norton out, Matt Serra is joined by guest co-host Ray Longo for a UFC 332 recap show featuring Johnny Walker and newly signed flyweight Christian Natividad.

Fresh off a $100K bonus-winning heavyweight debut, Walker joins the show after knocking out Mick Parkin with a first-round knee from the Thai clinch. The Brazilian explains why heavyweight feels like his natural home, how much better camp felt without cutting to 205 pounds, and why he wants to take his time climbing the division — with Marcin Tybura standing out as a name that interests him.

After recapping a record-setting UFC 332 card, Matt and Ray welcome Natividad to UFC Unfiltered for the first time. “The Hawaiian Punch” talks about earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, waking up at 3 a.m. to accept the fight on nine days’ notice, and how his older brother Kevin helped introduce him to MMA.

Natividad also reflects on training at MMA Lab, working in a room full of high-level lighter-weight fighters, and why the long road to the UFC now feels like just the next step.

Jim Norton and Matt Serra get ready for UFC 332 with a pair of main-card fighters: returning middleweight Ateba Gautier and first-time guest Natalia Silva.

First, Gautier joins the show ahead of his matchup with Roman Kopylov and reveals a few unexpected layers outside the cage. If you heard a middleweight knockout artist say he was a My Little Pony fan, a physics lover and a geology major, which one would you not believe? In Gautier’s case, two of those are true — and you have to hear him explain it for yourself. He also talks about his natural power, preparing for Kopylov’s durability, training in Las Vegas and continuing to evolve from fight to fight.

Then, Jim and Matt make some UFC 332 picks before welcoming #1 women’s flyweight Natalia Silva and translator Fabiano Buskei to the show. Silva reflects on starting Taekwondo through a social program in Brazil, pushing through early MMA losses and injuries, and finally reaching Saturday’s vacant title fight against Wang Cong.

Silva also talks about preparing for five rounds, what she expects from Wang’s striking, and what it means to represent the small Brazilian town of Pingo-d’Água on a world championship stage before Jim and Matt wrap up with final thoughts and picks for Saturday’s card.
