What do we do when life doesn't go according to plan?
In Luke 8:22–25, Jesus and His disciples find themselves in the middle of a fierce storm. The disciples are afraid, overwhelmed, and asking a question many of us have asked at some point: “God, don’t you care?”

In David's attempt to find safety outside of God had provided, David was led down the path of compromise, deception, and eventually a dangerous double life.This message explores how fear and weariness can shift our focus, how compromise can become bondage, and how we can find ourselves returning to the very “Gaths” God has already rescued us from.

As we celebrate the richness and diversity of our South African heritage, we are reminded that in Christ, God has given us a new heritage, one that brings people from different cultures, languages and backgrounds together as one family.

What do we do when life doesn’t give us a clear-cut answer?In 1 Samuel 25, David is angry, Nabal is foolish, and Abigail steps into the middle of a situation that could have ended in tragedy. What begins as a story about greed, insult and revenge becomes a powerful picture of wisdom, discernment and God’s grace.This passage reminds us that life is rarely as simple as right and wrong, and we need more than intelligence or strength to navigate its complexities. We need the wisdom that comes from God.

What happens when what we have begins to have us?In 1 Samuel 25, we meet Nabal, a wealthy man whose possessions have become so central to his life that he can no longer see the people around him. Jesus tells a similar story in Luke 12 through the parable of the rich fool.In this message, we look at how greed can make fools of us promising that more will finally satisfy us, while isolating us from community and ultimately leading us toward judgement.
