Last week, in part 1 of Chapter 11, Leon had dressed his best and was anxious to get to school. On this morning, Nana and Pop knew something was different about their youngest grandson. And while unusually quiet on the way to school, Leon hoped others would see the change in him that he believed had taken place.

In Chapter 10, Autumn returns to Mrs. Kelso's classroom, but Leon was not happy when her seat is changed. This was not what he had expected after having completed all of his assignments and turning them in. Doing this, he figured his teacher and his classmates would see how serious he was about doing better in school. However, he felt encouraged when Keith Porter supported him in his attempt to make things right with Autumn Tanner.

In our last episode, Leon had to face Autumn and her parents. Pop and Nana had insisted he apologize for embarrassing Autumn in class. Leon was surprised at the kindness he received from the Tanner family and realized how much he wanted Autumn to be his friend.

In Chapter 8, Leon learned that Autumn has Achromatopsia; she was colorblind. Now he felt bad about the joke he made in class. Principal Todd instructed Leon to stay away from Autumn.
Leon wondered how he was going to give Autumn the apology he knew she deserved.
