Mightywaybooks Presents: Kids and Kindness - Encouraging stories for children 8-13.

In our last episode, Brittany learned a lesson about believing. The Coach and Mr. Carter were believing for a van to transport the girls to North Carolina for the competition. Nancy believed The Double Dutch Club had a good chance to win. And Tanya tried to help Brittany believe her father might come to see her jump. It seemed everyone was learning the importance of having faith.

Last week, The Double Dutch Club officially welcomed two new members - Brittany and Amber. Upon receiving her purple and gold t-shirt and shorts, Amber was able to let go of her disappointment of not being able to jump in the upcoming competition. Brittany was overjoyed that she had been accepted by this special group of friends called The Double Dutch Club.

In Chapter 10, Brittany wouldn't open a letter she received from her father. She didn't find out its contents until Tanya opened it and read it. Brittany didn't put much faith in learning her father wanted to attend the competition, but Tanya encouraged her to pray and believe that her dad would make it to North Carolina and see her jump.

In our last episode, Brittany and Tanya couldn't jump Double Dutch for a week. Coach Hughes wanted them to think about how they had not been truthful with Mr. Stevens regarding their family tree projects. Both girls agreed they would never again do anything to jeopardize jumping with their friends in the Double Dutch Club.

In Chapter 8, Tanya thought she could help Brittany by giving her her project. Unfortunately for the both of them Mr. Stevens gave them a deadline to finish their own projects and informed them their grades would be lowered. He also insisted they tell Coach Hughes what they had done. Fearful that Coach Hughes might drop them from the team, the girls cautiously approached her to share their confession.
