Deep House | The House Guest : Radic The Myth S2 E20
Radic The Myth — real name Njabulo Ndhlovu — is a producer and DJ from Duduza, a township east of Johannesburg, South Africa. Raised in a family of passionate music lovers and collectors, his journey into music began early and naturally evolved into a life dedicated to sound.
Radic made his official entry into the scene in 2014 with the self-released 15-track demo album Revelations of House. His unique approach quickly caught attention internationally, leading to a remix opportunity for UK-based artist Asphalt Layer (Tommy Harrison) on the Morning Coffee EP via Laboria Park.
His first full release, Dub Dreams, set the tone for what would become a signature sound—deep, soulful, textured house music rooted in South Africa’s rich underground heritage. His breakout moment came in 2019 when he was signed by renowned tastemaker Kid Fonque to the influential label Stay True Sounds. Under this imprint, Radic released a string of acclaimed projects, including Zulu Dub, Zulu Gangsta, and his standout album Peaches & Teddy Bears, which garnered international support from the likes of Jimpster, Atjazz, and Fred Everything.
Building on this momentum, Radic’s work caught the attention of Freerange Records, where he released both a featured track on a VA compilation and a collaborative EP. One of the standout tracks from this project, Back To You, saw him team up with deep house legend Jimpster, further cementing his place in the global conversation of forward-thinking house music.
Radic The Myth is known for his ability to craft immersive, emotionally resonant soundscapes that transcend the dancefloor. Drawing influence from the spiritual and soulful side of house. His productions are warm, organic and story-driven—prioritizing feeling and flow over rigid precision.
