    On today’s episode I am in Conversation with Noèmi Muya. My highlight was hearing about how she had a pleasurable experience during her articles and I believe it is so important to highlight when one has a good experience during articles because the articles experience truly has a bad reputation of being a toxic period in most people’s career stories. Her face also really lit up as she spoke about the woman who mentored her during articles and that inspired her to also pay it forward by mentoring the next generation of legal practitioners. Noémi Muya is a bilingual (English & French) attorney of the high court of South Africa, with experience and expertise in property law (Conveyancing) and corporate law. She holds a BA Law degree, an LLB degree and she is an LLM candidate at the University of Pretoria. She is also a Golden Key member, having served as the vice president of the Golden Key Chapter at the North West University (Vaal Triangle campus). As a devoted Christian, her values of faith, resilience, and service have underpinned every step of her personal and professionalevolution.Noémi is the founder of For Women in Law – a platform resolved on empowering women in law through mentorship, career guidance and legal education. Her career is marked by a deep commitment to mentorship, legal education, and advancing opportunities for aspiring lawyers.     In today’s episode I am in Conversation with a super amazing and divine woman, Sharon Msiza, whom I also have the pleasure of calling a dear friend. We spoke about the value of education, especially to underrepresented communities and shared how creating access to opportunities can open a whole new world for someone who does not have information at their finger tips. I am inspired by how Sharon uses her own platform to pay it forward by ensuring that more and more black people are given information on the maritime industry as a whole. Sharon is a South African qualified lawyer who has built up her experience as a practising attorney where she worked at law at firms specialising in various aspects of shipping law, both in South Africa and London.Her experience also includes working as a legal advisor for a Transport and Logistics company in South Africa, as well as a Claims Executive for a Transport and Logistics Insurance Company in London.She obtained her LLB (cum laude) from Wits University, and a Masters in Shipping Law from UCT. She is currently completing her PhD in Maritime Law with Dalian Maritime University in China.She was recently named as one of the Top 100 Women in Shipping globally by ‘All about Shipping, UK’.She is the founder and host of The Maritime Law Podcast which seeks to promote awareness of the shipping industry, as well as opportunities within the industry.     In today’s episode I am in conversation with Nqobile Mbatha who is an attorney and also the founder of a digital marketing agency. We spoke about her childhood and she reminisced on having being raised in a loving home but with strict parents. She is grateful for how her parents and later in life her father have always instilled discipline in her and encouraged her to dream big. Nqobile is an admitted attorney, entrepreneur, and founder of SNC Creatives, a personal branding and digital marketing agency dedicated to helping professionals and businesses enhance their visibility and unlock new opportunities.She obtained her LLB from the University of Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal, where she developed a strong foundation in legal principles and a passion for advocacy. Her legal career began in the conveyancing department of a law firm in Rosebank, where she served her articles and gained extensive experience in property transactions and real estate law. Upon her admission as an attorney, she transitioned to a specialist conveyancing firm, further refining her expertise before making a strategic shift into commercial litigation, where she continues to practice.She is currently pursuing her LLM in Human Rights Law at the University of Johannesburg, aligning with her commitment to advocacy and policy reform. I really enjoyed her colorful story especially the part where she shared insights about how she repeated matric because she was running after a boy - the innocence of young love tickled me.
