What began as an idea during the uncertainty of 2021 evolved into a full-scale production, complete with pandemic challenges, practical builds, and even a Chicago windstorm that literally blew the set away.

TrisRex walks us through the creative journey from concept to completion, sharing his deep love for the Alien universe, the grit it takes to bring a vision to life, and the passion that fuels independent filmmaking. This is a conversation about fandom, resilience, and the drive to create something meaningful inside a world we all care about.

In a shocking late-2025 announcement, we learned Fede Alvarez wouldn't be returning as director for the sequel to Alien: Romulus.

Months later, we still don't know why—and we still have no idea who'll be directing in his place!
