“We can’t control our kids’ every move, but we can pray that God will work in their hearts for their protection. Prayer is that comfort as we put our confidence in who God is and what He can do.” As we learn about God and His attributes, we find a peace and confidence that can’t be found anywhere else. Listen in as we dive into 2 Corinthians 3 with our North Carolina State Coordinator, Jayme Kirk, and are reminded of the power of the simple gospel.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
The first time I heard about Moms in Prayer was at Missions Day at my church. My local area coordinator had a table set up there. She wonderfully shared how we could gather as moms to pray for our children and schools, releasing the stress and anxious thoughts that burden us. So, I started a group right away with one other mom! God was faithful to bring others to pray with us for the schools in our area. And, it’s such a God thing that, in the following years, I was able to host that same Moms in Prayer table at my church, continuing to share the vision that all schools be covered in prayer!
My favorite Scripture verse and one I cling to, is Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…”
I have been married to John since 2009 and we have two teenage boys, Cooper and Cade. We enjoy activities together in the “great outdoors” from the mountains to the coast!

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15 ESV
“The day is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord. “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Jeremiah 31:31-33 NLT
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. John 17:3-5 NLT
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT
