ABOUT OUR GUEST
Sally Burke’s introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown of Temecula, California, and later as regional coordinator for Riverside County. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God’s life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide. 
As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. In her leisure time, you’ll find Sally on a walk/run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends.

Stephanie McDermott has been with Moms in Prayer for more than 20 years. She has lived in 5 different countries spanning the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific and India, where she served as a Moms in Prayer leader. She has trained many moms in the Four Steps of Prayer who continue to lead groups in their countries. Now back in the USA, Stephanie served as MIP’s Florida State Coordinator for over 9 years and now continues to be an International Leader Developer for Bhutan, India, Singapore and Sri Lanka. Stephanie is married to William and a mom of two third-culture kids.

“God does not want our ability but our availability.” Paul’s heart for the church in Corinth is a small reflection of God’s jealous heart for His people. God refuses to share the human heart with any competitor because He knows that our eternal life depends on loyalty to Him. God is jealous for our attention, our energy, and our lives. When we make ourselves available to Him, even in our weakness, God’s strength can be revealed. Our limitations become opportunities to experience His power and a reminder that we can trust Him to do what only He can do. Listen in as we walk through the 2 Corinthians 11 with Utah State Coordinator Tonja Willey.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
I started with Moms in Prayer (MIP) when our youngest was in kindergarten. A change in leadership and the need for prayer at our son’s school was what it took to get me to start a group. I have been a leader all but one year when our son entered high school. This gave me the opportunity to be under another leader and learn from her. After moving from Oregon to Utah in 2022, I was lonely, but knew how to make the best type of friends – by finding or starting a local MIP group. After asking a friend at church if she would join me, we started a group. This led me to a coordinator role so I could help other women in Utah get connected.
MIP has taught me who God really is and that He is for me and my family. He will never leave us. He looks out for us. He is the One and Only God who keeps showing up and changing the scenarios of negativity into His possibilities. He’s the God of the two-word sermon…But God.
I have been married since 1990. We have a daughter and a son who are both married to incredible Christians. We have a total of three grandsons who are growing in their faith in Jesus and our first granddaughter on the way. As a family we like to travel, camp, be on the water and just spend time together.

As we continue in our 2 Corinthians series, we are reminded in chapter 10 that we do not walk according to the flesh. We can be so distracted by the things of the flesh, outward appearance and credentials, that we miss the opportunities to experience God’s divine power to destroy strongholds. We can fear man and what people think of us rather than fearing God and placing Him in His rightful position in our lives and families. ABOUT OUR GUEST
Born in England, Jane has lived in Switzerland for many years. Jörg (Swiss husband) and Jane have recently experienced the joy of celebrating the weddings of both sons.
It was in Switzerland that Jane was introduced to Moms in Prayer. Jane was immediately filled with joy. Over time, Jane was invited to serve in the core leadership team, helping establish Moms in Prayer in Europe and Israel. Years on, the baton was passed.
Currently serving as a happy Board member.

Our amazing God became poor that we may be rich. He has abundantly given us everything we need for life and godliness. What is our response? How can we partner with God in the work He is doing in our lives and around the world? God wants to use us! Are we ready to be His vessels?
Today’s episode brings us to a place in 2 Corinthians where Paul is encouraging the church to be faithful to do what they said they would do, to be people of their word, and to be a part of God’s work. May we have ears to hear how God is leading us and be obedient to His call.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
In 1987, I heard Fern Nichols’ radio interview with Dr. James Dobson on Focus on the Family. From that moment, I knew that if God blessed us with children, I wanted to be part of Moms in Prayer (MIP). Eleven years later, in 1998, with two children in tow and having just moved to Hong Kong, I joined my first MIP group. My life was changed as I learned to focus my prayers on God’s character and His Word.
In 2001, after adopting our third child and moving from Asia to Arkansas, God faithfully connected me with another group of praying moms. I’ve been part of that wonderful community ever since. One scripture I often pray over our children and grandchildren is, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…” Ephesians 3:14–17a
Over the years, I’ve witnessed God pursue our children, strengthen them when they are weary, and call our children into full-time ministry and service. He is faithful—and we are called to be faithful in prayer, trusting Him to work in the lives of our children and grandchildren. I’ve learned there is no greater place to be than in His presence, interceding for the next generation and the places they live, learn, and work.
