MixSensei's Podcast

Welcome back to another chapter in the MixSensei Rare Grooves series.

Volume 9 is a journey through the sophisticated side of the 1980s—where soul met jazz, funk embraced boogie, and every groove carried warmth, elegance and musicianship.

This mix celebrates the records that never chased the charts but became timeless favourites among true collectors, DJs and soul lovers. Expect silky vocals, lush harmonies, deep basslines, shimmering synths and infectious rhythms from the golden era of Rare Groove.

Whether you remember discovering these classics in intimate wine bars, on late-night radio, at all-day soul sessions or hidden away in independent record stores, this mix is designed to bring those memories flooding back.

As always, every transition has been carefully crafted to preserve the musical journey—allowing each record to breathe while maintaining that unmistakable MixSensei flow.

So turn it up, pour yourself something smooth, and let the music take you back to a time when groove wasn't manufactured—it was felt.
