Chantel's killer is now free, having served just 20 years for the murder, dismemberment and concealment of her body.

Jean's now fighting for long term change and is now in the process of forming Chantel's Law, which will see tougher custodial sentences for those who desecrate and conceal their victims bodies and we need your help.

After three loses, three encounters with the justice system, Jean is now making it her mission to help other families affected by homicide.

She has now helped over 1000 people who have lost a loved one to murder, manslaughter or culpable homicide as well as children who have been affected (alongside children from deprived communities).

And then Jean gets the news she's been dreading....

After a fire breaks out at a mosque in Birkenhead, no one could have predicted how that would finally give Jean the answers she so desperately needed. She now knew that Chantel wouldn't be coming home.

This loss ignited something in Jean, and a 'new Jean' was born. And she was ready to fight.
