Deepen with Pastor Joby Martin

What does the Last Supper reveal about the cross, and what can we learn from Jesus and His disciples in the hours leading up to His arrest?

In this episode of the Deepen Podcast, Pastor Joby Martin and Vinke unpack Matthew 26, connecting the Passover to the Lord’s Supper, the disciples’ failures to the faithfulness of Jesus and the Garden of Gethsemane to our need for prayer and dependence on God.

From understanding the bread and the cup to walking in freedom from sin and shame, discover how the blood of Jesus speaks a better word over our lives and why our failures do not get the final word.

In Matthew 26, we see two very different responses to Jesus.

Mary pours out what is most valuable to her in extravagant worship, while Judas chooses to betray Him. Her response reminds us that following Jesus means surrendering our agenda, our resources and ultimately our lives to Him.

In this episode of Deepen, we unpack what this passage teaches us about worship, generosity and lordship, and what it looks like to believe that Jesus is worthy of our all.
