Episode 64: Small T, Big T & Everything In Between: What Trauma Really Is

    2026/03/29 | 22 mins.
In this solo episode, Belinda explores what trauma really is, and why it’s often misunderstood.
When most people hear the word trauma, they think of something extreme or obvious. But trauma isn’t defined by the event itself, it’s defined by how it was experienced in your body.
This episode invites you to look beyond labels like “big” or “small” trauma, and instead understand how your nervous system has adapted to what you’ve lived through. Because sometimes… it’s not about what happened. It’s about what didn’t.

    We explore:
Why trauma is about your internal experience, not just the external event
The difference between explicit (remembered) and implicit (felt) memory
Why many people believe “nothing happened to me”… but still feel anxious or on edge
How trauma isn’t always about what happened, but what was missing
Developmental, acute (shock), pre-verbal, complex, intergenerational, and collective trauma
How your nervous system adapts through fight, flight, freeze, and fawn
Why trauma is stored in the body, not always as a clear story
How unprocessed survival responses continue to show up in adult life
The connection between trauma, patterns, relationships, and physical symptoms
Why awareness—not blame—is where healing begins
How to shift from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What happened to me?”

This episode explores trauma, nervous system regulation, emotional patterns, and how your past experiences continue to shape your present—often in ways you don’t consciously realise.
If you’ve ever felt like “nothing bad happened” but still find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you can’t explain… this episode will help you understand why.

Episode 63: Burnout, Breakthroughs & Saying Yes to Yourself: A Retreat Guest’s Journey with Gemma Hudson

    2026/03/22 | 57 mins.
In this episode of Beyond The Surface, Belinda is joined by Gemma Hudson, a past retreat guest who shares her journey from burnout to breakthrough.

Gemma opens up about her mum leaving when she was just three, how that unconsciously shaped her independence, identity, and the way she moved through life. In her early 30s, she made the decision to become estranged from her. Eight years later, when her mum was dying, Gemma chose not to reconnect.
On the outside, Gemma had built the “perfect” life - a successful corporate career and the version of success she had always been shown. But underneath, her body was sending signals she continued to ignore… until burnout forced her to stop and question it all.

Through coaching, personal growth, and attending Belinda’s women’s retreat and couples retreat with her husband, Gemma began reconnecting with her intuition, her emotions, her feminine energy, and her body, and with that, a deeper sense of who she truly is.
By learning to listen to herself, embracing vulnerability, and choosing to live in alignment, Gemma went on to retrain as a counsellor and coach, now supporting women in meaningful and purposeful ways.

This conversation explores burnout, childhood experiences, estrangement, boundaries, unconscious patterns, and the power of coming back to yourself.
If your life looks right on the outside but doesn’t feel right on the inside, this episode will resonate deeply.

Episode 61: Why You Can’t Make a Decision (And What It’s Really About)

    2026/03/08 | 20 mins.
In this solo episode, Belinda shares why decision making can feel so difficult, and why indecision is often less about logic and more about what’s happening in the nervous system.
If you’ve ever felt stuck between two choices, overthinking every outcome or constantly asking others for advice, this episode will help you understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

    We explore:
Why indecision is often a nervous system protection response
Decision fatigue and why choices feel harder when you’re overwhelmed
The fear of regret and how it keeps people stuck
How perfectionism can show up as decision paralysis
Why clarity often comes after action, not before it
How small decisions help rebuild self-trust

This episode explores decision making, nervous system regulation, overcoming indecision, building self-trust, and understanding the psychology behind why making decisions can feel so hard.

Episode 60: From Lawyer to 8-Figure Entrepreneur: Georgie Stevenson on Manifestation, Money & Motherhood

    2026/03/01 | 59 mins.
In this powerful conversation, Belinda sits down with Georgie Stevenson, founder of Naked Harvest and Rise & Conquer, to explore how she followed an internal “nudge” to walk away from a safe career as a lawyer and build multiple seven and eight-figure businesses.
Georgie shares what life looked like before the success…feeling lost in her early 20s, choosing law without true alignment, and having the courage to leave security behind to follow a creative pull. What began as documenting her fitness journey online eventually evolved into launching Naked Harvest with her brother, building a female-focused supplement brand rooted in integrity, and creating a global personal development platform through Rise & Conquer.

    In this episode, we explore:
Leaving law to follow intuition and build from scratch
Creating an 8-figure wellness brand with no investors
Manifestation beyond vision boards and affirmations — identity, inner work, and nervous system regulation
Rewriting money stories and expanding your wealth capacity
How she balances entrepreneurship, family, and motherhood
How motherhood has shifted the way she sees life
Navigating judgment, visibility, online growth and being one of the first “influencers”
Why investing in yourself delivers the greatest return ROI

If you’ve ever felt the pull for more but questioned whether it’s possible for you, this episode will remind you that growth starts internally, and the nudges you feel are there for a reason.
