    Chianti Ultra Trail, a trail runner's experience The Chianti Ultra Trail is an UTMB race, held in March every year, in Tuscany, Italy. The race offers five distances. The Ultra Trail Chianti Castles; 120 kilometres with 5.200 metres of elevation. The Chianti Ultra trail; 73 kilometres with 3.000 metres of elevation. The Chianti Marathon Trial; 46 kilometres with 1.700 metres of elevation. The Chianti Half Trail; 20 kilometres with 800 metres of elevation. And the Chianti Wine Run, a 10 kilometre night run with 400 metres of elevation. I ran the Chianti Ultra Trail, after being in bed for four days with food poisoning. This is the story of that race.
