- Zoe Knight is a clinical nutritionist and co founder of Muscle Nerds, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition. She's recently moved back into clinical practice, and what she's seeing across two very different client groups has changed how she thinks about health.
This one gets into the taboo territory properly. We talk GLP-1s without the dogma: whether the medication is being used to build agency or to avoid it, why being on one is the easiest window someone will ever get to install the habits, and Zoe's view that you can use a GLP-1 as a tool but can't be optimally healthy on one long term. She also covers the part almost nobody talks about, what rapid fat loss actually does when environmental toxins come out of fat cells, and why supporting detox pathways means protein, nutrients, hydration and actually going to the toilet, not juice cleanses.
Underneath the medication conversation is the bigger one. The single biggest predictor Zoe sees of whether someone changes is their view of themselves. We talk about the research showing most chronically obese clients have experienced trauma and how that reframes the whole approach, the difference between an explanation and an excuse, and why you're not responsible for your first thought but you are responsible for your second. Plus the questions Zoe asks in clinic that tell her everything (how do you feel when you miss a meal, when you overeat, when someone comments on your body), why she asks "what do I notice about myself" instead of "why do I feel this way", and what clients are actually willing to trade.
We also get into why optimal and practical are different things, holding the sunk cost fallacy while finishing a degree, and why it's possible for two experts to say opposite things and both be right. - This one started with a walk and a question I asked my husband: what do you think your greatest quality is? His answer was his ability to work things out, and it sent me down a rabbit hole on fixed versus growth mindset and how much of what we call talent is really just exposure and repetition.
I break down Carol Dweck's research and the 1998 praise experiment with fifth graders, where one group was praised for being smart and the other for working hard, and what happened to both groups when the puzzles got harder. It says a lot about why so many high achievers avoid anything they might be bad at, and why praising kids only for how they look sets them up to be fragile later.
I also share my own fixed narrative around public speaking, where it came from at sixteen, and the presentation in 2023 where I forgot everything on stage and lived the exact fear I had been avoiding. Plus the story I recently caught myself in about having to post at 6am or there was no point, and how much freer things got when I dropped it.
Then we get practical. Naming it, taming it, reframing it. Gamifying the things you resist, whether that is food Tetris or setting a minimum standard in the gym so anything above it is a bonus. Making learning the goal instead of the outcome. And the word yet, which turns a dead end sentence back into a practice.
Your brain is plastic. It is trainable in exactly the same way a muscle is. If that is the only thing you take from this episode, that is enough. You Might Be 20 No's Away From Your Yes | Bianca Black on Rejection, Confidence and Backing Yourself
2026/08/14 | 1h 12 mins.Bianca Black is an actress, model, co host of the Live and Let Be podcast, Animal Welfare League Queensland ambassador, and second runner up at Miss Universe Australia 2025. In this episode she pulls back the curtain on what the highlight reel does not show.
We get into what rejection actually looks like in the acting world, fifty self tapes for one yes, no feedback, no closure, and the detachment she had to learn to keep going. Bianca shares how she builds confidence from the ground up by backing her own decisions and following through on the small things, why she says yes to every job including the low paid ones, and the mindset that carried her from a chaotic teenage pageant in Guatemala to closing the circle on a dream she had since meeting Jennifer Hawkins at eight years old.
We also talk about her nerves and where she holds them, learning lines, working on set with Russell Crowe and Chris Hemsworth, the weekly work she does getting shelter dogs adopted, what the last two years of rebuilding after a breakup taught her about control and reactivity, the daily mantra she says out loud, and why the healthiest thing you can do in dating is stop deciding whether someone is your husband before you have finished the first drink.
If you are in the messy middle of something and wondering whether it is worth continuing, this one is for you. From 12k Followers to 800k: Olivia May on Fuelling, Failing and Doing It Her Way
2026/08/04 | 44 mins.Olivia May is a professional beach and track sprinter from the Gold Coast with a community of over 2.3 million people across TikTok and Instagram. In this episode she opens up about the mindset behind the training: why she has run the same program for four to five years, why her hardest winter session is three reps and a walk to the car, and why rest is the part of performance almost everyone skips.
We get into the illusion of pressure and the moment a friend told her nobody actually cares how she performs, the plateau she went through and why sharing it grew her audience more than winning ever did, unlearning the belief that smaller is faster, and what she wishes young girls heard about fuelling instead of restricting. She also shares the daily non negotiables that changed her relationship with herself: morning sunlight, stretching, and gratitude journaling every single day since January.
If you have ever felt guilty for resting, compared your chapter one to someone else’s chapter twenty, or wondered what separates an athlete from someone who just trains hard, this one is for you.- Hattie recently got home from holidays feeling fragile like she was letting herself down and letting everyone around her down too.
In this Q&A episode, she walks you through exactly what she did to reset: the journal practice, the identity check-in, the environment audit, and the small standards that rebuild momentum fast (starting with the snooze button).
She also answers the community's biggest body-image questions, sharing why she traded chasing "skinny" for chasing strong, and how she strategically taught her body to handle 3,000 calories a day. If you've been feeling stuck, this is your reset button.
