June 4th: Doug Benton Disappears (2000)

When all of the evidence points to one person, it’s hard to believe them when they claim their innocence. On June 4th 2000 a man disappeared. And, in the aftermath of that disappearance, all of the evidence pointed directly at one person in his life. A woman who, to this day, swears she had nothing to do with his death.

June 3rd: Francisco del Junco Arrested (1996)

Not all criminals will escalate to murder. But, when they do, it’s hard not to look at their past crimes and wonder if it all could have been prevented if they would have been kept behind bars earlier. On June 3rd 1996 a man was arrested for a series of murders. One who committed a list of crimes beforehand but was deemed not a threat to society.
