Introducing DNA ID Episode 205 The case of Eileen Zarlenga
Single mom Eileen Zarlenga disappeared from her home on a cold night in March 1988, taking her coat, boots and purse, but leaving behind her three year old daughter.  Eileen remained missing for 4 days, and when she was found, it was not good news.  The question of who stabbed the young mother over and over and left her body in a remote patch of woods in Mahoning County, OH would haunt generations of investigators.  When DNA was detected on sexual assault kit swabs, it did not get investigators any closer to an answer.  And when IGG came along and was used to identify Eileen's attacker, real answers remained elusive. Inside was an anonymous letter where the writer confessed to being the contract killer in the unsolved murder of Seattle Washington prosecutor, Thomas C. Wales. Episode 13 April Marie Tinsley 
Two years after the 1988 abduction and murder of eight-year-old April Tinsley in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the disturbing phrase "I kill April Marie Tinsley….I will kill again" was found scrawled on a barn door ten miles from where her body was found. In 2004, several little girls resembling April received notes in the same handwriting threatening that they would be the next victim. While terrifying, these notes would eventually lead investigators to April's killer.
