  • Obsession in Sport Isn't the Key: Tom Golightly
I have always believed that obsession for a sport and working harder than anyone else was the answer to success in sports. Where there is value in that, there is a better way to do it and hard work isn't always the answer. This interview was enlightening, showing how we can win without running ourselves into the ground. Golightly is the Assistant Director - Athletics for BYU Counseling and Psychological Services. Golightly is responsible for treating a variety of mental health issues in order to help student-athletes remove any obstacles preventing successful academic and sport performance. He conducts individual, couples and group therapy for student-athletes. He also teaches Performance Psychology and Contemporary Issues for Student-athletes at BYU.
