Mica Francis Miller did everything we tell victims to do. She documented. She called 911. She filed report after report… Investigative Journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell walk through the record Mica built while she was alive, and the one the state built after she died.
In this episode of COERCED built from True Sunlight Podcast reporting, you'll hear Mica’s own voice: calm and clear from a hospital bed in February 2024, telling police her estranged pastor husband has seized her phone, laptop, and car; then a month later, reporting a razor blade planted in her tire, already reciting the excuses she knew police would use to do nothing.
Then… a dispatcher's parting words rang hollow: "Good luck" and six weeks later, Mica was dead. The four-page medical examiner's report, printed on yellow paper, closed her case without an autopsy, with a time of death that contradicts law enforcement's own timeline, two spent casings, and a body found 100 feet away.

John-Paul Miller's decades of alleged behavior are finally being brought into the light. JP's first divorce, from wife Alison Williams in 2015, followed his affair with Mica Francis Miller becoming public. Alison's affidavit describes JP's history of alleged misconduct with teenage girls at Solid Rock Church, restricted overnight visitation with his own daughter, and an unsettling detail from Alison's own account: the husband of a woman linked to JP romantically died in a drowning accident shortly after confronting JP.

Mica Francis Miller's father-in-law, pastor Wayne Miller, and his 2001 divorce from JP Miller's mother Susan reveal a chilling blueprint for what would later happen to Mica herself. In this episode, remastered from True Sunlight Podcast reporting by Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell, court filings from Wayne and Susan’s divorce show a pattern of coercive control, financial punishment, and church-backed retaliation against a pastor's wife trying to leave.
Susan accused Wayne of violence and control; he blamed the church's "dropping income" on her, canceled her health insurance, and had church employees try to reclaim her car — all while claiming to be broke running the ministry he founded. When Susan pushed back, Wayne painted her as unstable and vindictive to the congregation, a narrative JP would later use against Mica almost word for word.
JP was in his early twenties, watching all of it.
Susan Miller survived her divorce from a Miller man. Mica did not survive hers.

John-Paul Miller didn't invent his playbook — he inherited it. In this episode, remastered from True Sunlight Podcast reporting, Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell trace the rise of JP's father, televangelist Wayne Miller: the 1970s "Good Morning Jesus" broadcast empire, a 500-acre compound called Gloryland, and 1987 allegations that he made sexual advances on his bible college students.
Wayne claimed a "credentials committee" cleared him of wrongdoing. Mandy and Liz found that committee's paperwork, and its first listed member is Wayne Miller himself.
The episode also traces the suspicious fire that leveled Gloryland, Wayne's 2006 indecent exposure arrest, and his 2014 federal felony convictions for exploiting foreign bible college students. Two decades before Mica ever filed for divorce, Wayne's own wife Susan described a nearly identical playbook — a wife painted as unstable, a church turned against her.
