  • Frankenstein (Audiobook) | Mary Shelly
    You can donate to support us at: https://ko-fi.com/magischian This is a classic (gothic) horror story, and one of the earliest examples of science fiction. The main characters are Dr. Frankenstein and his creation, the daemon. Shelley called the scientist a "pale student of unhallowed arts" and his creation a "hideous phantasm of a man." This story is not only delightfully frightful, but arguably represents one of the clearest criticisms of science during a time when, like the daemon, it was leaving its own infancy and, like Dr. Frankenstein, testing its ethical boundaries 00:00:00 : Letter 1 00:09:22 : Letter 2 00:19:22 : Letter 3 00:21:44 : Letter 4 00:42:03 : Chapter 1 00:54:33 : Chapter 2 01:10:51 : Chapter 3 01:30:16 : Chapter 4 01:47:59 : Chapter 5 02:05:02 : Chapter 6 02:24:40 : Chapter 7 02:53:04 : Chapter 8 03:15:47 : Chapter 9 03:31:35 : Chapter 10 03:50:08 : Chapter 11 04:12:36 : Chapter 12 04:29:30 : Chapter 13 04:46:13 : Chapter 14 04:59:30 : Chapter 15 05:25:32 : Chapter 16 05:51:18 : Chapter 17 06:06:35 : Chapter 18 06:27:52 : Chapter 19 06:45:35 : Chapter 20 07:12:11 : Chapter 21 07:38:04 : Chapter 22 08:02:51 : Chapter 23 08:23:29 : Chapter 24

  • Lady Susan (Audiobook) | Jane Austen
    You can donate to support us at: https://ko-fi.com/magischian Lady Susan, by Jane Austen, Dramatic Reading Although the primary focus of this short novel is the selfish behavior of Lady Susan as she engages in affairs and searches for suitable husbands for herself and her young daughter, the actual action shares its importance with Austen’s manipulation of her characters' behavior by means of their reactions to the letters that they receive. 00:00:00 : Chapter 1 00:01:50 : Chapter 2 00:06:05 : Chapter 3 00:09:23 : Chapter 4 00:11:23 : Chapter 5 00:15:03 : Chapter 6 00:18:36 : Chapter 7 00:22:50 : Chapter 8 00:26:34 : Chapter 9 00:27:55 : Chapter 10 00:31:37 : Chapter 11 00:33:40 : Chapter 12 00:38:24 : Chapter 13 00:40:37 : Chapter 14 00:45:51 : Chapter 15 00:49:44 : Chapter 16 00:53:07 : Chapter 17 00:58:26 : Chapter 18 01:00:49 : Chapter 19 01:04:22 : Chapter 20 01:12:05 : Chapter 21 01:13:50 : Chapter 22 01:20:39 : Chapter 23 01:25:03 : Chapter 24 01:38:30 : Chapter 25 01:45:30 : Chapter 26 01:48:27 : Chapter 27 01:50:44 : Chapter 28 01:52:03 : Chapter 29 01:54:16 : Chapter 30 01:58:51 : Chapter 31 02:00:19 : Chapter 32 02:01:57 : Chapter 33 02:02:44 : Chapter 34 02:03:43 : Chapter 35 02:05:18 : Chapter 36 02:07:16 : Chapter 37 02:07:54 : Chapter 38 02:09:29 : Chapter 39 02:11:42 : Chapter 40 02:13:20 : Chapter 41 02:15:58 : Conclusion

  • Northanger Abbey (Audiobook) | Jane Austen
You can donate to support us at: https://ko-fi.com/magischian Northanger Abbey, by Jane Austen, narrated by Elizabeth Klett Northanger Abbey follows Catherine Morland and family friends Mr. and Mrs. Allen as they visit Bath, England. Seventeen year-old Catherine spends her time visiting newly-made friends, such as Isabella Thorpe, and going to balls. Catherine finds herself pursued by Isabella's brother John Thorpe (Catherine's brother James's friend from university), and by Henry Tilney. She also becomes friends with Eleanor Tilney, Henry's younger sister. Henry captivates her with his view on novels and his knowledge of history and the world. General Tilney (Henry and Eleanor's father) invites Catherine to visit their estate, Northanger Abbey, which, because she has been reading Ann Radcliffe's gothic novel The Mysteries of Udolpho, Catherine expects to be dark, ancient and full of fantastical mystery. 00:00:00. : Chapter 01 00:08:06. : Chapter 02 00:20:02. : Chapter 03 00:29:51. : Chapter 04 00:37:02. : Chapter 05 00:44:00. : Chapter 06 00:53:38. : Chapter 07 01:09:02. : Chapter 08 01:23:55. : Chapter 09 01:41:12. : Chapter 10 02:02:06. : Chapter 11 02:18:30. : Chapter 12 02:28:57. : Chapter 13 02:45:26. : Chapter 14 03:04:00. : Chapter 15 03:21:16. : Chapter 16 03:36:05. : Chapter 17 03:43:34. : Chapter 18 03:54:21. : Chapter 19 04:02:43. : Chapter 20 04:20:04. : Chapter 21 04:35:46. : Chapter 22 04:53:52. : Chapter 23 05:07:25. : Chapter 24 05:22:40. : Chapter 25 05:38:15. : Chapter 26 05:50:39. : Chapter 27 05:57:08. : Chapter 28 06:15:38. : Chapter 29 06:32:29. : Chapter 30 06:47:34. : Chapter 31

  • Emma (Audiobook) | Jane Austen
    You can donate to support us at: https://ko-fi.com/magischian Emma, by Jane Austen, narrated by Elizabeth Klett Jane Austen famously described Emma Woodhouse, the title character of her 1815 novel, as "a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like." Yet generations of readers have loved Emma, as much for her blunders as for her wit and vivacity. Emma, "handsome, clever, and rich," has nothing else to do but try to pair off her friends, and she consistently mis-reads the relationships and situations around her as much as she mis-reads her own heart. The novel features a wonderful cast of characters, including Emma's hypochondriac father, the odiously prideful Mrs. Elton, the mysterious and reserved Jane Fairfax, and Miss Bates, who never stops talking. 00:00:00 : Volume 1 - Chapter 01 00:18:56 : Volume 1 - Chapter 02 00:28:36 : Volume 1 - Chapter 03 00:39:06 : Volume 1 - Chapter 04 00:57:43 : Volume 1 - Chapter 05 01:09:17 : Volume 1 - Chapter 06 01:24:30 : Volume 1 - Chapter 07 01:38:12 : Volume 1 - Chapter 08 02:01:27 : Volume 1 - Chapter 09 02:27:47 : Volume 1 - Chapter 10 02:41:25 : Volume 1 - Chapter 11 02:52:53 : Volume 1 - Chapter 12 03:11:00 : Volume 1 - Chapter 13 03:27:11 : Volume 1 - Chapter 14 03:40:20 : Volume 1 - Chapter 15 03:58:37 : Volume 1 - Chapter 16 04:09:17 : Volume 1 - Chapter 17 04:15:40 : Volume 1 - Chapter 18 04:29:14 : Volume 2 - Chapter 01 04:44:30 : Volume 2 - Chapter 02 04:58:18 : Volume 2 - Chapter 03 05:20:40 : Volume 2 - Chapter 04 05:30:03 : Volume 2 - Chapter 05 05:48:10 : Volume 2 - Chapter 06 06:04:31 : Volume 2 - Chapter 07 06:16:37 : Volume 2 - Chapter 08 06:52:22 : Volume 2 - Chapter 09 07:08:27 : Volume 2 - Chapter 10 07:19:40 : Volume 2 - Chapter 11 07:37:35 : Volume 2 - Chapter 12 07:50:01 : Volume 2 - Chapter 13 08:01:03 : Volume 2 - Chapter 14 08:23:15 : Volume 2 - Chapter 15 08:40:11 : Volume 2 - Chapter 16 08:57:16 : Volume 2 - Chapter 17 09:09:14 : Volume 2 - Chapter 18 09:24:26 : Volume 3 - Chapter 01 09:31:09 : Volume 3 - Chapter 02 09:55:15 : Volume 3 - Chapter 03 10:04:04 : Volume 3 - Chapter 04 10:15:26 : Volume 3 - Chapter 05 10:31:21 : Volume 3 - Chapter 06 10:59:26 : Volume 3 - Chapter 07 11:18:15 : Volume 3 - Chapter 08 11:31:52 : Volume 3 - Chapter 09 11:45:31 : Volume 3 - Chapter 10 12:02:55 : Volume 3 - Chapter 11 12:26:43 : Volume 3 - Chapter 12 12:42:28 : Volume 3 - Chapter 13 13:01:19 : Volume 3 - Chapter 14 13:20:24 : Volume 3 - Chapter 15 13:33:29 : Volume 3 - Chapter 16 13:51:55 : Volume 3 - Chapter 17 14:08:21 : Volume 3 - Chapter 18 14:28:20 : Volume 3 - Chapter 19
