Ekse Fede? October is my Birth month or is it Birthday month? But ya this month I have a Birthday and to celebrate that I decided to make a mix with a sound that’s so dear to my heart a sound that Kabelo always said I should play more because I play it well. Remember back in 2009 when I meet Kabelo not so many dj’s did not play the sound in Soweto and he was the one encouraging me to play it more and push, and because of his influence I found myself playing more house lol! But yeah, what a gent that nigga was will aways cherish his influence and presence in my life. Hola, Ola Daso…. It is with sadness to announce the passing of my friend, brother, mentor Kabelo “KayB” Moqha who sadly left us early hours of Saturday (30th of August) In a car accident. Kabelo was a huge part of my life, as I just met him just after the passing of my mother in 2009. As a young boy who was trying to figure out life, he took me under his wing, and we went on to form a bond of an older brother and younger brother. KayB played a huge role in my growth as a man, Musically and in Life in general. His Impact in my life was huge. I will really miss you mfowethu and always remember you through what brought us together MUSIC. As you would say “Tunz ntwana yami, asiyi shubise.” Thank you for everything mfo, this is my tribute to you. Rest In Boogie bro wami. In the same breath I’d like to pass my condolences to the family of Poizen who also lost his life In a Car accident the same morning, while our other DJ friend Chymamusiq was critically injured wishing him a speedy recovery. About That Soul Thing

"Bhuts Tunz is a Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Bhuts Tunz describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up in Soweto, a vibrant musical hub, this impact of different sounds have played a huge influence in his deejaying pallet. His own love for music combined with his passion has seen him flourish in he field for over 10 years. Bhuts ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. Though he loves playing in clubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a qualified Sound Engineer/producer,and brand builder, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. He also has hosted his own solo gigs , A HangOut with BhutsTunz, a musical experience that sees host all backgrounds with one thing in mind, the unity in music and having a great time. “For me, it’s all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date.”
