The scene with Kusimaya and the village of people going silent around her felt eerily similar to when Koumba had the casino-themed party in Vegas with 100's of people from the hive and they each play their part of curating the illusion of a vibrant party and return to silence as soon as Koumba has left the suite and feels satiated from his party.
