My Bigfoot Sighting

Tonight’s first guest, Derin Franks, had his Bigfoot sighting in the William B. Bankhead National Forest, in North Alabama, in 2017. It happened on the last day of deer hunting season. Derin had just walked to the edge of a greenfield when he decided to sit down on a log, just inside the tree line. As he sat there, taking everything in, he suddenly heard a limb snap about 12 yards over his right shoulder. When he heard it, he stood up and turned around. Tonight’s second guest, Catman Hero, had his Bigfoot sighting on August 8th, 2016. It happened at a campsite in Middle Tennessee while he was participating in a nighttime field investigation. He was with Randy Hutchings, a very experienced field investigator, and another investigator named Josh.

After arriving at the campsite, the three men walked about two to three miles into the woods before Randy, who was leading the investigation, told Catman and Josh to stop. Randy explained that, when he gave the word, he wanted them to turn on their lights and scan the woods for eyeshine.

When Randy gave the signal, all three men turned on their lights and began scanning the woods. Almost immediately, Randy and Josh noticed something hiding behind a tree branch. At first, Catman couldn’t see it, but that was about to change.

Tonight’s guests, Ray and Lisa Haley, moved to a 3-acre property in the Ozarks of Arkansas back in 2022. For the first year they lived there, nothing unusual happened, largely because they had cleared a significant portion of their property. The following year, however, after letting nature reclaim the cleared land, strange things started to happen.

In the summer of 2023, Ray and Lisa were sitting on their back porch when, all of a sudden, they were hit with a very foul odor that smelled like a mixture of death, skunk, and other nasty things. Just moments after that horrible odor appeared, a very loud, guttural scream rang out.

When they heard the vocalization, they looked at each other with a “What was that?” expression on their faces. It wasn’t long after that before they found out what had been responsible for making that sound.

Since that day, they’ve had ongoing reminders that they aren’t alone on their property. It’s been quite an adjustment for them, knowing they could have an encounter at any time, but slowly, they’re getting used to it.

On May 20th, 2019, at 9:35 AM, tonight’s guest, Matt Lankford, was driving his 18-wheeler south on Highway 84, between Abilene and Coleman, Texas. At the time, he was about two-thirds of the way to Coleman when he looked ahead, to the right side of the highway, and saw what he initially thought was a black bull.

As he got closer to the “bull,” the figure moved a short distance. When it did, it moved in such a strange way that its body seemed to undulate. After seeing it move, Matt began to wonder if what he was looking at might actually be a large, black hog.

As Matt drew closer, however, his perception of the figure changed again. Now, he wondered if it might be a large man wearing a black arctic suit.

When Matt got within a few hundred feet of the figure, though, he realized it wasn’t a man. It was something he had never even considered as a possible explanation for what he was seeing.

It was a Sasquatch!

Tonight’s guest, Phil, has had a multitude of Sasquatch sightings over the years, since having his first one on Thanksgiving Day of 1992. That first experience, however, will always stand out in his mind as one of his most memorable.

That day, Phil had family over at his house for Thanksgiving dinner. Phil was heavily into bodybuilding back then, so he didn’t eat as much as everyone else at the table and finished his dinner first. After finishing, he walked into his family room and looked out through his patio doors. As Phil stood there, admiring what a beautiful day it was, he suddenly realized that a huge Sasquatch was walking across his back lawn.

Phil was awestruck by the size of the Sasquatch. As muscular as he was back then, Phil couldn’t get over how small he still was in comparison to the Sasquatch he was watching walk by…

Tonight’s guest, Randy Hutchings, had his first Bigfoot sighting in 2011, in Middle Tennessee. Randy has been a field investigator since the late 1990s, so by the time he had that first sighting, he’d already put a tremendous amount of time and effort into researching the Bigfoot phenomenon.

You know what they say about your first sighting, though. It has a way of predisposing you to having more. That certainly seems to have been the case with Randy. After that first sighting, he went on to have more sightings and experiences with them.
