We’re thrilled to welcome Neo Tumelo Lemeke to the Cotton Sensei Podcast for an exclusive debut guest mix, professionally known as NeoDeep. NeoDeep is a Deep and Afro House music enthusiast whose passion for music began at the early age of 10, influenced by his father, mother and step older brothers’ tastes in music with a household filled with lovers of classic R&B, jazz and classic house music. After completing his Electrical Engineering qualification at the University of Johannesburg in 2015, he relocated to Durban, where he founded an event organizing company, Backyard Concepts, curating concepts such as the G&T Sundowner as well as Gone For The Weekend.
Following several years of event coordination across Durban and Johannesburg, NeoDeep realized his desire to be more deeply involved in music. After moving to Cape Town, he continued hosting and curating his events G&T Sundowner as well as Gone For The Weekend but he also stepped out of his comfort zone to pursue his calling as a DJ and music producer. He is also a co-owner of the established restaurant Backyard Grub situated in his hometown Sebokeng in the Vaal, which is far south of Johannesburg. He also has a clothing brand called Backyard Threads.
