Ep 89: Dr Christiaan Winterbach - Researching Lions In The Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta of Northern Botswana is an absolute wildlife mecca and without a doubt one of the most naturally wild places on Earth. Elephants, buffalo, lion, leopard, hippo, crocs, cheetah, kudu, lechwe, giraffe, the Okavango has it all.
Â
Dr Christiaan Winterbach has spent well over 25 years of his life researching the lions of this wonderful area, from gathering data to determining population sizes, territories, habits and more. I had a great conversation with Christiaan and learning more about these large beasts in the massive wildlife area.

Ep 88: Chance Eubanks - Africa Hunt Paid For By Taco Bell
Here is a remarkable story of focusing on your dreams, being willing to roll up your sleeves, put in the hard work and let nothing get in your way until you are literally in Africa, standing over a Kudu bull you just hunted.
Â
I had the pleasure of chatting with Chance Eubanks, who got to live out his dream of hunting in Africa by doing exactly that, getting to work, saving his money and earning it.

I know you will enjoy this episode!

Ep 87: Stephen Palos - Defending The Freedom To Hunt
Stephen Palos is the CEO of the Confederation of Hunting Associations of South Africa (CHASA) and the Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Use Coalition of Southern Africa (SuCo), this man is literally on the front lines defending hunters freedom to hunt and protecting the outdoorsman and the industry as a whole from unfair legislation and regulations that are designed to put an end to hunting.
Â
Stephen and I talk about both the organisations he works in, their roles, how they defend hunter's freedoms, working with other associations and the support needed from not only the local hunters but those international outdoorsman that have a keen interest in hunting in Africa.

Ep 86: Why The Eastern Cape?
Well, I have had enough and I cannot contain it anymore... it's time to brag about my home province!
Â
The Eastern Cape of South Africa is without a doubt a hunter's dream playground, it's a wildlife mecca. But there is more to this beautiful province than just the hunting opportunities, it is (in my opinion) the most diverse and varied province in all of South Africa.
Â
For those of you considering a hunting trip to the Eastern Cape, this episode is for you as I highlight the charms and beautiful assets of this magical part of South Africa.

Ep 85: It's All About Inches & Colour In Game Breeding
The breeding of animals, the crossing of DNA, the choosing of certain characteristics and tinkering with specific traits, is a complex task. It's like trying to make the perfect meal, while following an extremely difficult recipe. A little too much of this, means you have to take away some of this, and not getting the right balance between all the ingredients could ruin the whole meal.
Â
In this episode, I talk about these complexities, my background and all be it very limited knowledge in the breeding of animals, as well as my concerns with how the intensive game breeding operations within South Africa, may be doing more harm to a species than good!
Â
I hope you enjoy this episode, if you did then please take a few minutes to rate and review the podcast.
