[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] presents the 104th release in the catalog β Sergio Sincopa - Dub Mode EP.
Sometimes music does not need loud explanations. It simply switches on the right mode β and everything around begins to sound different. Dub Mode EP is exactly that kind of release. At its core are four original tracks by Moscow-based Sergio Sincopa. (@sergiosincopa) The mini-album carries the night side of the city: not the bright, display-window version, not the noisy one, but something deeper and more real. When the streets grow quieter, streetlights blur across the glass, and all that remains in your head is a pulse, like a distant signal. In exactly this state, the release sounds especially precise.
Original works:
:::Mantra is an ambient track where it feels as if the breathing is being aligned first. This is not a dancefloor opening, but a tuning of the inner receiver. Soft layers, air, pauses, and the feeling of entering a slower, more attentive state.
:::Dub Mode is the main code of this work. Here, a dense pulse appears, along with deep bass and that very echo for which we love dub techno. The track sounds restrained, but there is a lot of movement inside it: details appear, disappear, return, and leave a subtle trace behind.
:::Techbegun adds more techno energy. It does not rush forward, but keeps a confident pace, like a night train that knows its route exactly.
:::E330 takes the release toward acid dub techno: the acid line does not scream here, but carefully burns through the space, adding a special taste of tension to the work.
The remixes reveal the EP from different sides:
:::Chain Selector (@chainselector) turns Mantra into a more mechanical and hypnotic signal.
:::Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer, (@enercube & @x_fr) in the Triple Ipa RMX version, makes Dub Mode denser, deeper, and slightly more intoxicated β as if the bass had been aged in a Siberian barrel full of echo.
:::Basic 96 (@basic_96) gives Techbegun a direct, dry, and honest techno character.
:::Space Scavengers (@space-scavengers) break E330 into cosmic fragments and assemble from them a new acid dub mechanism β dark, elastic, and slightly extraterrestrial.
:::Lotech/Hijack Dust Mix (@lotech-hijack) sounds like a dusty cassette found in the basement of an old communication station.
Dub Mode EP is not about unnecessary shine. It is about depth, mood, low frequencies, and the ability to hear the space between the beats. Sergio Sincopa does not try to prove everything at once: he builds the atmosphere gradually, lets the details open up, and leaves the listener room for their own movement inside the music. That is why the mini-album sounds calm, but not static β something is constantly alive beneath its surface. This is music for night routes, long thoughts, and those moments when the city outside the window turns into one big rhythm. You switch on Dub Mode β and it feels as if you have moved to another frequency, where everything unnecessary finally becomes quieter.
Yours in sound and spirit,
The [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] Crew.
