- For The Blind Rage Podcast, higher education has officially become hazardous with GIRLS SCHOOL SCREAMERS (1986).
Seven students from a Catholic college are dispatched to the sprawling Welles mansion to catalog its inherited art collection, only to uncover a diary, a disturbing portrait with an uncanny resemblance to one of their own, and evidence that the family history should probably have remained buried. A séance further poisons the weekend, while an unseen killer starts thinning the enrollment in increasingly gruesome fashion. Shot in the Philadelphia area before Troma acquired it and added extra gore, this low-budget collision of slasher mayhem and supernatural melodrama has enough Catholic guilt to make confession seem like the safer extracurricular activity. - The Puttermans wanted better television reception. Instead, The Blind Rage Podcast finds them receiving a man-eating alien in TERRORVISION (1986), Ted Nicolaou's wonderfully tacky collision of monster horror with science fiction lunacy.
A botched extraterrestrial disposal operation sends a mutated Hungry Beast hurtling through space until the Puttermans' new satellite system gives it an unexpected route into their home. Young Sherman discovers that something ravenous can crawl directly through the television, while the adults around him remain spectacularly unequipped to appreciate the problem. Before long, the creature is gobbling up unsuspecting victims and developing a particularly nasty talent for impersonating whatever it has eaten.
Gerrit Graham and Mary Woronov preside over the Puttermans with magnificent commitment to the absurd, while Diane Franklin's Suzy seems to have raided an entire '80s shopping mall before arriving on camera. Jennifer Richards adds another layer of beautiful nonsense as horror hostess Medusa. Meanwhile, the Hungry Beast itself is a wonderfully disgusting creation that appears completely at home amid the Puttermans' aggressively questionable decor.
TERRORVISION has little interest in restraint. Its comedy is broad, its creature effects are proudly revolting, and Ted Nicolaou pushes the movie's warped personality as far as he can without letting the whole thing escape the television set. - The Blind Rage Podcast explores the explosive chaos of TRUTH OR DARE? A CRITICAL MADNESS (1986), where Mike Strauber’s world implodes after discovering his wife in bed with his best friend. What follows is a relentless spiral into blood‑soaked games, homemade copper masks, and a road‑trip of murderous antics that is equal parts shocking, absurd, and darkly humorous. Every scene delivers over‑the‑top violence and unhinged creativity, making this film a must‑experience cult horror ride.
And it's one of Elijah Wood's all-time favorites! - In the shadowy underbelly of aspiring model dreams, The Blind Rage Podcast sinks its hooks into I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 2 (2013) where a photoshoot with some sketchy Bulgarian brothers spirals into a vicious cycle of violation, abduction, and merciless payback that leaves no one unscathed. Jemma Dallender delivers a raw turn as Katie, clawing her way through the brutality with a fury that matches the film’s unapologetic grindhouse edge, while the Patov siblings prove that opportunism in the big city can unleash horrors far beyond the camera flash
- Tonight, The Blind Rage Podcast crashes THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY (1988), where three friends mark the last day of school with a sleepover to kick off summer break. The vibe is freedom, loud music, and staying up all night. Then an escaped mental patient wanders into the neighborhood and the celebration spirals into pure shot on video carnage. Filmed in New Orleans with raw ’80s nerve, it is scrappy, chaotic, and exactly the kind of late night rental that feels like it should come with a warning label.
