It was another win for the podcast (sort of) as Joe Dean, one of those we spoke to prior to the British Masters, only went and won the thing. We begin with that plus notes on some contenders at the Belfry, before paying tribute to Scottie Scheffler's tour de force at East Lake where Viktor Hovland came up short. In the latest news recap we talk about Good Good's bad bad week, some updates for both the men's and women's TGL, and where we are with LIV Golf after job losses and reports of an imminent bankruptcy fiilng. The new format for the Tour Championship gets the thumbs up, but it would be fair to say we were less sure of just why one Presidents Cup vice captain got the nod. There's a bit more Presidents Cup talk before we press ahead with a preview of the European Masters at the stunning Crans-sur-Sierre, the Rosa Challenge, and the Walker Cup.

For the second year running, we met up at the Belfry during British Masters week to try to bring our listeners behind the ropes on the DP World Tour. In this episode you'll hear us caddie for two European golfers and then find out if we were more wowed by Robert Rock's presence or Angel Ayora's swing. There's insight from Joe Dean on what it's like not knowing if you're going to earn any money, before his compatriot Matthew Jordan explains how his form has turned and what he's looking forward to in the coming months. We spoke to Daniel Hillier and found out how he followed Ryan Fox's Open win close up, then grabbed Richard Mansell in the car park, before signing off with our takeaways.

We're back, recording on the day of release, for our first standard episode in a little while as we begin a massive run of DP World Tour golf. First though we reflect on the Nexo Championship and a long overdue, much deserved win for Scott Jamieson, and the latest victory in a career season for Player of the Year candidate, Wyndham Clark. After that there's plenty of LIV-related news to get through including some fun and games from wantaway Tyrrell Hatton and a questionable new tagline, while we also have a positive update from an absent DP World Tour player. Speaking of which, this week's Forgotten Golfer is a former winner of the British Masters and that takes us into this week's tournament at the Belfry, which we're visiting ourselves on Tuesday. After a couple of bonus-style episode to fill the summer holiday gap, today's Sliced looks a bit more like our normal Monday episodes, but as it was pre-recorded you'll have to do without recaps of the weekend golf in Denmark, Memphis, in the US Amateur, on the LET and LPGA, and elsewhere. Still, there's much to get through as we catch up on a run of potential superstar champions on the PGA Tour and try to work out which if any will make the Presidents Cup, where the US picture is complicated. We talk about a close battle for Solheim Cup qualification and why one side should be favoured for that, and we think about Rory McIlroy's ambitions for 2027 and where the Ryder Cup sits. There's time to bring you up to date on LIV (albeit this was recorded before their Team Championship was cancelled, news that had been expected) and in particular, Bryson DeChambeau's claim that every single golf fan wants him back on the PGA Tour.
