Rereading the Revolution

"I know she wrote this for herself…but I feel like it was for me."

Here are some words we never thought we’d say: we just read the new alternate universe Divergent book! Daphne and Kellie are joined by very special guest Gracie (@grapiedeltaco) to discuss all things The Sixth Faction (2026) by Veronica Roth. We revisit the shocking announcement, recap the novel, and discuss how it is both in conversation with and very different from the original Divergent series. Stick around until the end because we also talk about the Modelland rerelease news, for which we are taking a tiny sliver of the credit.

"The people said Twilight: New Moon is better than Avatar."

Where the hell have you been, loca? We’re celebrating hoa hoa season with a movie that we have very mixed feelings about: Twilight: New Moon (2009)! Kellie and Daphne are joined by our friend and certified Twilight superfan, Mackenzie, to talk about how this movie was made, how we view it today, and some of our favorite details that we noticed on the third, fourth, or fifth watch.

"Thank you for changing my life…again."

It’s a very unique day in Rereading the Revolution history. We read a book for adults! John Green’s debut adult novel and first fiction book in nine years, Hollywood, Ending, follows two young actors as they navigate modern fame and their relationship with each other. In this episode, we briefly recap the plot and discuss our thoughts about this more mature work from Green in-depth.

“I feel like I could probably go on a zip line somewhere else.”

You read that right. We read Divergent...again. In anticipation of the release of Veronica Roth's new reimagining of the Divergent series, The Sixth Faction, we're going back to where it all started both for her and for us. Daphne, Kellie, and special guest Amber (@seekingdystopia) give the book a more thorough recap, share some new analyses, and posit lots of theories for the new book.
