It was part of the job.
Working late, cleaning out the basement of an older store, moving through the same rooms night after night. Certain areas always felt different, but over time, you learn to work around that.

It started as a normal setup. A rental home, a growing family, and a space downstairs where he could work on his own. Nothing about it seemed unusual at first, and for a while, it all felt routine.
