Muhammad Khaleel Al-Qari (also spelled Mohammed Khalil Al-Qari or Muhammad Khalil Qari) is a prominent Quran reciter from Saudi Arabia. He is also known for being the brother of the renowned reciters Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Qari and Sheikh Abdullah Khalil Al-Qari, and the son of Sheikh Khalil Al-Rahman Al-Qari, who was a respected scholar and reciter himself. This familial lineage highlights a strong tradition of Quranic knowledge and recitation within his family.
He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. Digital Quranic archives feature numerous recordings of his recitations, including a complete recitation of the Holy Quran and various individual surahs. His recitation style is generally described as clear, beautiful, and deeply moving, often praised for its emotional depth and precise Tajweed.
Muhammad Khaleel Al-Qari serves as an Imam and preacher in various mosques in Saudi Arabia, notably as an Imam at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi) in Madinah during Ramadan 1438 AH (2017 CE), continuing a legacy of his family serving in the Two Holy Mosques. He memorized the entire Quran at an early age under his father’s tutelage. He is also actively involved in teaching Quranic sciences and is a well-respected figure in the field of Quranic recitation.
