Spurs beat Arsenal to 18-year-old striker James Wilson from Heart of Midlothian on deadline day. Wilson will join on six-month loan with an option in the summer and spend the rest of the season with the Under-21 squad in north London. Spurs this month have signed England international midfielder Gallagher signed for £35million from Atletico Madrid and teenage Brazilian left back Souza signed for £13m from Santos.

After a lacklustre first period in which Rayan Cherki had given Pep Guardiola’s side an early lead before Antoine Semenyo doubled their advantage just before the interval, it looked like City were heading towards a third straight Premier League win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But it was a completely different story after the break as we took the game to the visitors, pulling one back when Solanke forced Marc Guehi into an own goal. The England international then produced a moment of pure magic, scoring for the third time in four games with a spectacular scorpion kick to level the scores and give us a vital point.

Needing a victory to confirm a top eight berth, we were dominant from start to finish at Deutsche Bank Park and eventually got the goals we deserved in the second half, Randal Kolo Muani scoring against his former club seconds after the restart before Dominic Solanke – whose penalty beat Frankfurt on this ground in the Europa League quarter-finals last season – secured the win with a clinical finish.
