True prosperity isn't defined by material wealth but by a relational connection with God. This contrasts with transactional relationships—based on performance and reward—with relational relationships rooted in trust, love, and understanding of God's character. Prosperity is wholeness, encompassing peace, purpose, identity, health, finances, and relationships. We're warned against being driven by mammon, which is the spirit behind money, and encouraged to build boundaries that protect our peace. Ultimately, true prosperity flows from intimacy with God, not from striving or manipulation.Â
