How the EGO keeps you stuck (without you even knowing)

    2026/08/07 | 9 mins.
Your ego is running way more decisions than you think, and it's not trying to help you win. In this episode I break down how the ego operates, why bad choices feel right in the moment and good choices feel wrong, and what to actually do about it.
The ego isn't the enemy. It's part of being human, and you can't kill it off. What you can do is make it flexible instead of rigid. Right now it's probably running stiff, defending itself, convincing you that comfort is the same thing as correct.
Here's the trap. When you flash out at someone, when you eat the fries on the diet, when you go for revenge instead of growth, that feels right because your ego is chasing comfort, not chasing what's actually good for you. And on the flip side, the moves that could change your life, a new team, a new contract, a new relationship, those feel wrong because your ego reads change as threat. It creates false urgency to get you to bail before you have to sit in the discomfort of doing something real.
I give you a simple filter for this. Anger, pressure, urgency, those are ego signals. When you feel them, force yourself to wait. Take no action for 1-2 days and watch what actually needs to happen once the noise clears. And after any decision that blew up on you, ask yourself what the real motivation behind it was. If the honest answer is pressure, urgency, or need, that's your ego talking, not you.

Live like your parents are DEAD

    2026/08/04 | 12 mins.
At 20, I found out my ex girlfriend was pregnant. I stared at the ceiling for an hour, drowning in guilt, shame, and the fear of what my church going family would think.
I ended up back with her. Had another kid. Spent almost 10 years in an on and off toxic relationship, three failed engagements, all because I was chasing my dad's approval instead of building my own life.
He was a devoted Christian who wanted me married, and he never seemed to care that we weren't right for each other. I wasn't even living my own beliefs, I was living his.
In this episode I break down why so many of you are still doing the same thing: running your adult life on programming you inherited and never actually chose. I get into why re-evaluating everything you were taught isn't disrespect, it's required. And why living like your parents are dead, no longer needing their approval, is the only way you build a kingdom that's actually yours.

Reality Check: You think you're changing, but you are not (The realities of change)

    2026/07/31 | 17 mins.
You think you're changing. You're not. Most of what people call growth is just a new way to avoid pain.
Your body is wired for survival, homeostasis. Change registers as a threat. So when your relationship fails and you try again, only to repeat the same patterns with new fears layered on top, that's not growth. When you overtrain, get injured, then pull back and call it wisdom, that's not growth either. It's avoidance dressed up as evolution.
Real change requires four things: a genuine disgust with how things have gone, hyper awareness of your own patterns like a scientist studying a disease, a real strategy for new behavior, and a relentless spirit to carry it through.
I break down why most people never actually change, and what it takes to break the cycle for real.
Your challenge: spend 30 minutes today tracking the thoughts, fears, and emotions tied to the pattern that keeps repeating in your life. That's where hyper awareness starts.

BARS: The Power of Emotional Flow (Excerpt from 50th Law)

    2026/07/30 | 10 mins.
Your mind won't shut off at night because there are stress loops still open in your brain and nervous system. This is what emotional flow fixes.
Every night before bed, set a timer for 7 minutes. Grab a pen and paper or a voice recorder. Then let everything out, every thought, every emotion, every idea sitting in your head. Don't try to organize it. Don't try to do it right. Just keep the thought vomit going until the timer stops.
I break down why emotional flow works, how it helps close the open loops keeping you buzzing and antsy at night, and why doing this consistently changes the quality of your sleep and your headspace the next day.
Start tonight. See you in the Jungle.

DOMINATE your woman (just like you dominate your sport)

    2026/07/29 | 14 mins.
You dominate your sport but hand the keys of your relationship straight to your woman. You call it fairness. It's fear.
Athletes and high performers build their careers on clarity, control, and uncompromising standards. Then they get into a relationship and turn into a pillow. Soft. Yielding. Compromising. Borrowing beliefs from Disney movies, social media, and politics instead of running their own process.
The result: a sexless marriage, a platonic friendship dressed up as a partnership, and a woman who resents you for refusing to lead.
I break down why the same principles that make you dominant in your sport, knowing what you want, building the process, executing with precision, are the exact principles missing from your relationship. This isn't about controlling her. It's about reclaiming the identity you already know how to build everywhere else in your life.
If you're ready to stop denying your instincts and start leading like the Killa you already are on the field, email me ay niyi@imnotyou.com and tell me a little about your situation.
